Install guide
Windows Installation
- Recommended download LocalSend-1.17.0-windows-x86-64.exe, double-click to run and follow the prompts.
- For portable use, download LocalSend-1.17.0-windows-x86-64.zip, extract it and run
LocalSend.exedirectly.
macOS Installation
- Download LocalSend-1.17.0.dmg, double-click to open, drag the LocalSend icon into the "Applications" folder.
- If you see "cannot be opened because the developer is unidentified" on first launch, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click "Open Anyway", or right-click the app icon and select "Open".
First Use Notes
- Ensure all devices are on the same local network and allow LocalSend through the firewall (default port 53317, TCP/UDP).
- If devices cannot discover each other, check whether the router has AP isolation enabled; it is recommended to disable it.

No. LocalSend transfers directly over the local network. Data does not pass through third-party servers, and it works offline.
What if macOS says the app cannot be opened?
Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, click "Open Anyway", or right-click the app and select "Open" to bypass the temporary restriction.
