Risk notice
The current Windows installer does not include a digital signature, so the first run may trigger a 'Unknown Publisher' warning from the system. Additionally, when the software calls third-party AI services, it sends content to the corresponding providers. Please assess the risk of data transmission before using it.

Windows Installation Guide
- Download the installer according to your needs:
- Standard Edition (Recommended):
LocalMiniDrama.1.2.8.exeincludes sample projects and is suitable for beginners to try immediately. - Lite Edition:
LocalMiniDrama-Lite-1.2.8.exehas a smaller footprint, suitable for use after you become familiar.
- Double-click the downloaded
.exefile and follow the installation wizard to complete the installation.
- After the first launch, go to the "AI Configuration" page and fill in the API keys for the AI providers you use (such as Tongyi, Volcano Engine, etc.). The configuration file is located at
%APPDATA%\LocalMiniDrama\backend\configs\config.yamlby default, and can also be edited manually.
- Once configured, you can start creating projects and use the one-click pipeline from script generation to final video.
If Windows displays "Windows protected your PC", click "More info" -> "Run anyway" to proceed.
FAQ
Is LocalMiniDrama completely free?
The software itself is open-source and free, with no subscription fees. However, when using AI generation features, you will need to use your own API keys from the service providers, and the corresponding fees are charged by those providers.
Which operating systems are supported?
Currently, the installer is only available for Windows (.exe file). There are no macOS or Linux versions yet.
How do I update to a new version?
Watch the GitHub Releases page, download the latest installer, and install it over the current version. Historical data is stored in the `%APPDATA%\LocalMiniDrama` directory and is generally preserved.
Will my data be uploaded to the cloud?
The project is designed to be local-first: scripts, assets, and project data are stored in local SQLite and files. However, when using AI features, the relevant text or images/videos are sent to the AI providers you configured for processing. Please choose providers you trust.
