Install guide

- Recommended installer:
ShareX-21.0.0-setup-x64.exe, suitable for most users. Download and double-click to run, then follow the prompts to complete installation. - Portable version:
ShareX-21.0.0-portable-x64.zip, for users who prefer no installation. Download and extract to any directory, then run the ShareX main program directly.
Note: The portable version stores configuration in the local user directory; please back up relevant configuration before deleting the extracted folder. If you encounter a Windows security prompt on first run, choose the appropriate action based on your situation.
FAQ
Is ShareX free?
Yes. ShareX is open source under the GPL-3.0 license, completely free, ad-free, and no account registration required.
What operating systems does ShareX support?
Currently it only supports Windows, and the provided installers are x64 architecture; 32-bit systems cannot run it. macOS and Linux are not supported at this time.
How do I update ShareX?
You can visit the official website or GitHub Releases to check the latest version, download the corresponding installer and overwrite the installation, or replace old files if using the portable version.
What is the difference between the portable version and the installer version?
The installer version requires installation before use and creates Start menu and desktop shortcuts; the portable version works after extraction without writing to the system, but you need to run the main program from the extracted directory.
