Getting a "can't verify the developer" warning?
If you see a warning on first launch, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and click "Open Anyway". Open source software usually isn't signed with an Apple developer certificate, which is normal.
Clicking "Download" takes you to a source confirmation page first; the download starts after confirmation.

Install guide
macOS
- For Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) users: download
Beekeeper-Studio-5.9.3-arm64.dmg. - For Intel users: download
Beekeeper-Studio-5.9.3.dmg(this file does not explicitly indicate the architecture; if it fails to open, get the x64 version from the official website). - Double-click the dmg file and drag Beekeeper Studio into the Applications folder.
- If you see a warning that it cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer, right-click the app icon and select Open, or allow it in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
Windows
- Download
Beekeeper-Studio-Setup-5.9.3.exe(installer version) and run it, then follow the wizard to complete the installation. - If you prefer the portable version, download

Linux

How do I update to a new version?
You can check for updates within the app, or download a new version from the official website / GitHub Releases and install over the existing version. Some platforms support package manager updates (e.g., apt, snap, etc.).
