Getting a "can't verify the developer" warning?

If you see a warning on first launch, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and click "Open Anyway". Open source software usually isn't signed with an Apple developer certificate, which is normal.

Qt 6.6+ no longer supports CPUs without the AVX instruction set, so older devices may fail to run. The project is primarily maintained by an individual, and its plugin API is still being stabilized.

Install guide

Windows

x86_64: Download Ghost-Downloader-v4.2.6-Windows-x86_64-Setup.exe and run it to install. Alternatively, download Ghost-Downloader-v4.2.6-Windows-x86_64.zip, extract it, and run the executable inside.
ARM64: Download Ghost-Downloader-v4.2.6-Windows-arm64-Setup.exe or Ghost-Downloader-v4.2.6-Windows-arm64.zip.
If SmartScreen warns about an unknown publisher, make sure you downloaded from the official GitHub Releases page, then click "More info" and choose "Run anyway".

macOS

Apple Silicon (arm64): Download Ghost-Downloader-v4.2.6-macOS-arm64.dmg.
Intel: Download Ghost-Downloader-v4.2.6-macOS-x86_64.dmg.
Open the DMG and drag the app into the "Applications" folder.
If macOS says the app cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified, right-click the app and select "Open", or go to System Settings → Privacy & Security to allow it.

Linux

x86_64: Recommended to download Ghost-Downloader-v4.2.6-Linux-x86_64.AppImage, make it executable and run:
