Getting a "can't verify the developer" warning?

If you see a warning on first launch, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and click "Open Anyway". Open source software usually isn't signed with an Apple developer certificate, which is normal.

Install guide

Installation Steps

Download the installer IINA.v1.4.4.dmg.
Double-click the dmg file to mount the disk image.
In the window that opens, drag the IINA icon into the Applications folder.
Open IINA from Launchpad or the Applications folder.

Common Issues on First Run

macOS says "can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer": Right-click the IINA icon, select "Open", and confirm in the dialog; or go to "System Settings" > "Privacy & Security" and click "Open Anyway" in the Security section.
The app is reported as damaged or should be moved to Trash: This may happen if downloaded from unofficial sources. Re-download the latest dmg from the GitHub Releases page and verify the download integrity.
